Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly small jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
