The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform during the opening 45 until forced to intervene by an opponent's bent shot. His sliding intervention against an Albanian attacker showed sharp anticipation. Six out of ten

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah holding position, he was forced to provide width down the right side although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

The captain The match-winner with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. The opener a classic opportunist's goal and his next an excellent finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him up top. 8

The attacker Found it tough to make an impact from the left. Was presented with a good opening following a pass by Bellingham however the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of influence in his place. Five
